Hi,
I am in the market to buy a 1995-1999 eclipse gsx, and was looking at some aftermarket stuff to do to the car after I did it. For exhasut I have decided to run a Extreme Technologies 3 inch downpipe and high flow catalytic converter, and a HKS Turbo exhaust. I was wondering what after market headers and oxygen sensor housings would mount up to the car in its stock parts which these other aftermarket parts, and which would give me the largest gain in horsepower and torque. I will also be running these with a HKS standard wastegate (purple one) rated to 20 psi, and a HKS Racing Bypass Valve (red one) rated to 18 psi. Please post any answers or advice.

Thank you very much,
Bill

Well, let me be the first to say, go to www.dsm.org and look around.

Then the exhaust will work, but you picked the most expensive parts possibly. But thats your decesion.

A ported stock o2 housing will work just fine and as headers goes. I wouldnt buy "turbo" headers unless your planning to go really fast. Just not necessary as of yet.

The HKS Blow off valve is a nice but expensive one as well. As far the HKS standard wastegate, I am not sure what you are talking about. You really do not need a external wastegate on a stock turbo. You really do not need it for a 16g or a t-28. Rethink about that one and what you plan to have as your setup. I think you mean boost controller. Thats up to you if you want MBC or EBC.

My advice is to do some research and learn some more before buying any of these parts. Good luck:)

Why not take care of the o2 housing, downpipe, test pipe or cat, and catback exhaust all at once.

Check out www.rnrracing.com and get a 3" o2 elim. turboback exhaust...its top quality work according to members here on this board and you cant beat the price.

As far as a header, just port out teh stock 2g exhaust manny...many 400hp cars use the ported 2g stocker.

Make sure you get a BOV that will vent back into teh intake or else you will have idling problems..car will die sometimes.

And as far as the wastegate..not sure what you plan to do with the car but if you dont plan to exceed 300hp you dont need to mess with that stuff.
