Rickshaw,
I put on a bigger O2 housing, the one made by ssautochrome, just to see if i can get rid of the boost creep i'm getting on my baby t28, but it seemed it made it even worse. Now i'm overboosting to 23psi and dropping all the way down back to 18-19psi.

jeez, what a waste of time putting it on. but i did notice increase top end power around 3k rpm.

what should i do next to combat boost creep? do alot of porting? or maybe wastegate acutuator not fully opening the flapper?

Porting.

I would say external wastegate....if you got some extra money... Check the boost controler, flaper, actuator,... There are couple of treads here regarding porting and boost creap, check it out. Another thing, O2 housing is not the reason why you're creeping, specially if you got a bigger one.

That's not boost creep, that is your MBC spiking as boost comes on. Boost creep is when you are starting at 18psi and then it will "creep" up to 23 or higher as the revs go up.

so then i should probably try another MBC first? i don't feel like taking everything off again and porting right now. i definately have a home depot shitty one in there. 1/8 of a turn, makes like 5 psi sometimes.

i just want to make sure this might help combat it before i swap the with a turbosmart MBC

He said it creeps till 23psi and then goes down...Thats what i assumed... Otherwise you would be right here

Give us a breakdown of boost at each 1000rpm point when WOT.

ie Mine will hit 18psi, hold til 6000 and then creep up to 20+ at redline.

And a Home Depot MBC may need work, like the spring is weak or the ball is leaking air past it or whatever.

I had serious boost creep issues, wouldnt hold any boost i set it too....I bought a hallman pro mbc...and it solved all my problems. At first i didnt wanna drop 100+ bucks on just an MBC, but its doing its job and doing its job great.
