How do you tell the difference between 1st and 2nd gen exhaust mani.

Well I just traded someone my old uicp for a 2nd gen manifold. My question is how can i tell the difference. I have a 2nd gen mani on the car but I can't take it off to compare it. Do they look different from the outside. I have never seen a 1st gen exhaust mani so I don't know what they look like. Should be easy to tell them apart. I don't want to get screwed into thinking it's a 2nd gen mani when it's really a 1st gen mani.
