2 stupid questions, need help asap!

OK I have a 90 TSI and a 90 GSX, and Im int he process of doing my first swap using a cyclone motor on my gsx. Im used to the 90 engine, and I have 2 pics of things that I dont recognize LOL. Someone just help me out and make me feel like an idiot. I just need to know where to pipe these lines to. Thanks

OK first off, that is NOT a 90 style lower thermostat housing.. If it was then it would look like the one pictured below...

The reason that you have two coolant nipples in the 91-94 lower thermostat housing is that one is for the turbo coolant feed and the other is for the Oil/coolant heat exchanger's coolant line that you have pictured in the 2nd pic.

If you plan on using the later oil/coolant heat exchanger setup then just connect the two together (from the factory, there is a hardline that runs along the front of the block, behind the turbo that connects the two together).

If you are just going to keep the 90 setup, then remove your 90 style Oil filter mounting bracket from the old motor and swap it with the one that is on the motor currently so that you can re-use the 90 style air/oil cooler (that's what I did with my new setup). At that point just re-use the 90 style lower thermostat housing (that has only 1 coolant nipple, just like mine).
