Eagle vs Mitsubishi

I searched and nothing came up. I want to make sure since I'm trading my Eclipse in and might possibly lean for an eagle just to save cash and have an excuse for a body kit.

Is the DSM eclipse GSX the same as the eagle Tsi AWD? Is it really only the body pannels that is the difference? Are all the aftermarket parts interchangable?

yes to all 3... the only differences are cosmetic

then why buy an eclipse GSX for $15,000 when you can get a TSi AWD for $8000?

Well, some prefere the look of one over the other. I recommend going with what ever you get a the best deal on.

name is everything. sure there are some minor cosmetic differences, but all that cash goes into the name. According to blue book a 1990 gst is worth about $1900 while an Laser RS Turbo is worth $1500, both private party value. If you get urself a laser you could save $400 and get the same car. You then have $400 more to spend on mods or insurance. With newer cars the gap in prices just increases. Decide whether you really want to pay for the name before you look at the 3 kinds of 1g dsm's and 2 kinds of 2g dsm's.

I intially bought an Eclipse because I couldn't stand the front bumper and spoiler on the Talon. However, now that I look back on it I wish I would have bought a Talon and saved probably $5K. I agree with GRNDSM, go with which ever one you can get the best deal on.

i suggest the talon over the eclipse because the 97+ talon look really great and with the money you save by buying a talon you can use to convert to the eclipse body kit and may even have money leftover for some performance mods.
