ok i have looked through alot of boost related posts and have yet to find something like the problem i am experiencing. so i made my own.
first off i am not sure if this is a problem yet or possibly just how my car runs. that in mind here is what is happening.
i have a 92 awd tsi, minor mods thus far. just installed a big 16 a week or so ago. the turbo works fine as far as i can tell, however i set my mbc at 14-15 psi the other day and observed this. the spoolup seems normal until it hits about 10 psi. nice and fast through the lower psi's. then after 10 is very slowly increases to about 12-13 psi and doesnt go any higher if the car is warm (running for longer than 15 minutes). i experience the same boost increase when its "cold" except that the boost climbs all the way to 14.5 psi.
my roommate has his boost set at 18 and it climbs very quickly all the way there. so im wondering if there is something wrong with mine.
i am trying to get ahold of a full 3 inch exhaust ATM, but as of now it is all stock. could this be my problem?
thanks for your opinions.
