Im really bugging out here, the block in my GST is black, its actually painted black or sprayed or something, I thought it was oil coated but its not.. Brake Klean took off the oil of everything else but the block is still putch black. Im really wondering if they came this way from the factory or if MAYBE my engine has been out of the car before.

When we took the head off we noticed alot of bolts that werent as tight as you would think theyd be and just things a little out of place etc etc. We are doing the clutch tomorrow, im gonna freak out if I drop the tranny to find a 6 bolt block :)

Wrong. I have walked both a 7-bolt block (the original) and a 6-bolt block.

My 6-bolt block has a black coating on it.
