dalton,
i have a friend who has a 99 gst and has just installed a boost controller and i would like to know what is the max boost he can run on his stock car.becouse i think he will boost the hell out it and would like to let him know, thanks for any help

Well i don't know what the max boost he can go on a stock car would be but i would advise him to keep it at the stock level untill he has some supporting mods for it.

I'd tell him not to go above 13 psi on a otherwise stock engine, mut make sure he gets an aftermarket boost gauge before he even installs the thing, the stock one is crap!!! w/ intake/exhaust/new BOV he could run about 15-16 psi. the stock BOV leaks at about 12 psi though, so that should be his next upgrade... above 16 or 17 psi you need new injectors and a bigger fuel pump (and an afc to compensate for these)

Personally I wouldn't have bought a boost controller as my first mod....he should take advantage of a lot of the free mods out there.

I would have probably done my Cat Back first, then intake, UIC PIPE with BOV, lower IC would be nice...then a MBC or Electronic BC, DP
