hacked up slimfan install

ok on my car i bought it with slim fans and a fmic installed.

The guy who installed them did some hacked up crap and has the stock ballast resitor in there somehow. I did a search but couldnt find anything detailed enough to help me undo this mess.

I need to know what the wire colors are that i tap the fans into. It looks like i should just run each fan off the stock wiring and leave the ac switch on so they both switch on with the ecu?

I need to fix this before it gets hot out because sometimes they run and sometimes they dont even if the temp is over 1/2 guage. Fresh coolant, water pump and thermostat all with about 2k on them.

How many slim fans are you running on the car?

Because if you just have one, then Hook up the wires accordingly to the stock location on the passenger side. (their is only 2 wires on a 1g)

If you have 2 slim fans, then i don't know how to hook up the ac fan so that it comes on at the same time as the other fan. I have a slim fan hooked up in into the ac wiring and it only comes on when i turn press the ac button, while the other fan is activated by the coolant temp senor.


Maybe some electrical guy can help you out more!

i have 2. Not sure of the size but the bigger one is on the drivers side. Yea I normally leave the ac switch on but I must have bumped it since it was off. Its acting fine now that i switchedthe ac fan on again. i have to drive it to new jersey this coming weekend :knocks on wood and prays to the dsm gods:
