hey i am looking for a good 3'' turbo back system. the only thing is it needs to be quite the cops are real jerkoffs around here about exausts. any have any ideas also anyone know of any sites with sound clips? thanks

If you want something quiet and good, don't buy cheap ebay stuff. I've heard about the WI cops being a$$holes about it.

My suggestions are, keep a cat somewhere in there, and don't get a staight through muffler. I'm 3" turbo back no cat w/ a staight through, and I've been pulled over for noise.. just keep an eye out for the Pigs and push in the clutch as soon as you see 'em.

Good luck, hoped it helped.

The cops are alright about it over here but if u want it quiet put an electronic dump right after the downpipe, you can run a stock/quiet muffler and a normal cat for when u are driving around normally and when you are racing just open the domp and bypass the ALL the restriction, thats going to be my next mod, my friend did it and it really makes a difference.

a pair of long resonators will keep your sound to a minimum. at least 20-24" on the main resonator.
then you will be able to keep acceptable sound levels while cruising and low throttle.
but at wot, nothing is going to keep you quiet enough for the cops to leave you alone.
but at that point, they are going to be tagging you for speeding not being loud.

well for 1. you shouldnt be WOT going past a pig anyhow. If you are -- you need to get pulled over.

If you leave the resonators in, and go 3" all the way back (downpipe, high flow cat, cat-back) noise should be down to a minimum. Turbo exhausts arent as loud as NT anyhow...becuase thankfully the turbo quites the noise.
Just make sure you keep at least 1 resonator in. That helps a LOT!

good luck dude. :thumb:

maybe the whole dejon exhaust is an option too. i've got it and it's a little loud, but i havn't had problems with cops yet. they even give you a 2nd muffler option (as a resonator of sorts). then stick the oval can on it, and you should be golden.

if not, maybe you could have them weld in a resonator. regardless, the price on the dejon DP you just can't beat. and no, i wouldn't go for the megan because all their stuff looks like it necks down.

Sorry I did not check your mods. If you have a small 16G or a 14B and don't plan larger for a while a 2.5" will be quieter. I have a www.kteller.com 3" turbo back with a Summit glass/pack/resonator with a big(18"x8"x5") Magnaflow and it's loud for me and have gotten ticketed with it once. The muffler makes all the difference and you can't have quiet and free flowing, sorry! Mark
PS: I may add a second muffler/resonator to mine where there is a section flanged for a cat.
