I have a 92 Awd Laser ,it burns some oil and i realize it blows white smoke under boost only. You can also smell that it is oil burning. What causes this ?

your car is running rich

Take off your intake pipe and check for shaft play on the turbo. If it's moving from side to side, up and down, or in and out too much, you may have blown a seal on the turbo. If so, you'll need to replace it as soon as possible.

If there is white smoke burning it may be due to a bad headgasket. Because if it only smokes under boost you are pushing coolant into your combustion chamber & burning it up. I would do a compression test, check turbo for shaft play, & check for boost leaks. Is the car fully warmed up before you go WOT?

let me guess. Its not to bad at idle, or under cruise. But it smokes like bob marley when you run through 2nd & 3rd gear, and looks like somone lit a smoke bomb off under your car after you let off.

turbo

The guy that said your running rich doesnt know the symptoms of your car. Your running just like the factory computer map is saying...

Except for the fact that when you push coolant through a headgaket it does not go into the combustion chamber it goes out towards the engine bay.

If you really wanna find the problem check for shaft play a lil side to side is ok, but any in or out and the seal in the turbo is getting ready to blow out. Also check to make sure all the bano bolts on the the coolant and oil lines going to and from the turbo are tight.

One more thing to be more certain is too look into your exhaust and see if there is any oil at all, if there is then the turbo is about gone.

Well if your not able too find the problem i have found somthing that does the same thing and it happens when you hook the oil dump hose which comes from your valve cover to the egr valve it will only blow smoke when you get into boost but it blows a huge cloud when you let out i had every one tell me it was my turbo and head gasket but i knew it wasnt well i started lookin and my brother hooked it up wrong when we put my trans in and i didnt notice so you could check that!
