It says "bolt on" on the site.
-What will the supporting mods be?
-Will you need an external wastegate? (size/cost?)
-How does it compare to our standard turbos, power wise? (Big 16G/20G)
-Will you need a FMIC? (It says 430HP so I'm pretty sure you will)

I was going to go big16G(ported/clipped) and supra SMIC and be happy. The AGP L1R turbo link on the top of the page had to go and change my mind. I'm just wondering how much money I'm going to be paying extra.

L1R's rock, i'm goin L2R but either way AGP rocks. A supra side mount is good but i hear its a pain to install. Go with a FMIC. You'll deff need a upgraded fuel sytem. AFC,guages, ect. If u dont already have exhuast, intake then you'll need that. i'm probably forgettint stuff but hey i'm tired so i'm allowed.

Death-
You've already got the fuel system upgrades and a full exhaust. You could bolt the L1R on right now with the car as is. Sean Caron is running his like that rigth now with the little stock 2g side mount. You will want to upgrade to a FMIC to get the full potential out of it. But it will work fine with the side mount. A supra side mount would be OK, kind of half way in between stock and FMIC.

You can get it with the optional internal gate or a 35mm external. The internal is cheaper and much easier to install.

Power for the L1R is = to the 20g.

hey kevin we're looking into the L1R for my friends 2G after we get all the supporting mods for a bigger turbo in there. Does it bolt on to the 2G or would we need to do a custom manifold and such? I guess what I'm trying to ask is that if there is any other costs after we finish the full exhaust, FMIC, fuel mods, and drivetrain?

If the L1R is = to the 20g than what is the L2R = to . I am confused to what turbo I'm going to get next summer , it has come down to these .

I want to spool fast and have decent top end. I don't race often , just want to have fun on the street .

you have to ask yourself
#1 how much money can I spend.
#2 how fast do I wanna go.
#3 what type of driving do I do.

If you are all about stop light to stop light kinda guy...go with one of the t-28s

If you are not a serious drag, or serious road race guy go with a L1R.

If you are a Drag guy who doesn't mind some lag on the streets go with a L2R.

this is what my research as shown me, and as always this is just my .02

One good thing about the L1R when compared to the T28 and whatnot is they are ball bearing so they will spool up extra quick (not as quick as a T25/28) and have a ton more power without the lag.
