I have a new set of FIC injectors but the don,t fit into the fuel rail like the factory/Denso. The o-ring is to thick. How are you guyz mounting these injectors.:coy:

I have FIC's and had similar issues. What you'll want to do is lube each injector o-ring with some silicone around the edges so that they'll slide into the fuel rail more easily. Failure to do so may result in tearing the o-ring with the byproduct being an injector leak. The FIC's are indeed a tighter fit and will want to push out of the rail, but the silicone will help. Just be patient with them and take your time.

Pardon me for asking, and please correct me if I'm wrong, you don't mean Silicone Adhesive right?

I didn't have any problems with mine fittings in the head or the fuel rail. I just used some motor oil to lube the orings making sure not to get it everywhere then twisted them back & forth slightly while applying pressure to get them to fit. That should be the method least likely to do any damage to the orings. Be careful with what you use to lube the orings as certain products will cause orings to swell.

No I really meant silicone lubricant or silicone grease. You don't want to use an adhesive since the intention is to make insertion of the injector into the fuel rail easier, not keep it stuck in. As daren_p mentioned a little motor oil will also do just fine.

Let me know if that clears things up.

Nah man, I knew what you were talking about, I was just looking out for the naive that's all....
I too have used motor oil while installing injectors, although stock, it was still a snug fit.

I may be lucky, but I have never had any issues w/ any of the FIC injectors I have bought. Fitment was perfect, and never had any leaks w/ no lubricants.

However, if you run into problems, Silicone grease or Motor Oil is a great lubricant to help ease in the seal. I prefer to use the silicone grease myself b/c it provides more of a secure seal.

I never had a problem with my FIC 650's either. Maybe there are 2 different sets of o-rings that they supply.
