I am just curious cause with my Hallman classic...Even backed out I couldn't get it to go lower than 15psi.

Also what mods do you have to allow VERY low control?

Thanks

What was your max boost without MBC? When MBC is set at the lowest setting where it wouldn't restrict air flow to the wastegae, then the spring inside of WG controls the boost level you run.

I used to have a HKS external WG with a stiff spring and the lowest I could go with that spring was 18psi. Now I went back to stock internal, if I take MBC out of the loop it runs 10psi max. You can't really "lower" your boost with a MBC in a sense. You can only increase the max boost level "from the lowest pressure controlled by your wastegate".

I hope I'm making a sense to you.

I'd test your WG and find out when (@ what pressure) it opens. That would be the lowest you can go with that WG.:thumb:

I have an adjustable Garret wastegate on my L2R so I can set it at whatever I want for a low boost setting.

It should be around 9 psi. Go connect the boost source vacuum hose directly to the wastegate actuator and that should be the lowest boost setting.

Well my roommate had a Big 16G and a Hallman MBC, he can get it down to 7 pounds if he chooses to.
