Ok so im about to rip apart my engine and put new guts in it...i want to go with forged pistons but ive heard alot about getting slap from them as opposed to the 95 spec ones...anyway..for you guys that have forged, and they work for you...i need some opinions on different set ups as far as bore and stroke..piston brands and simply just what works and what doesnt..i have a good machine shop to do the work so that wont be a problem...any advice you can give me would be appreciated....by the way its a 91 tsi awd..thanks!

ive had good luck with JE and WISECO. but when i ordered them for a 1g they came with 2g size pins, and it was costly to get the big 1 g rods machined and sleeved so the pins would fit (1 mm i believe). i never hear any piston slap or rattle, compression is low when cold due to the filed to fit rings (big turbo and NOS needed alot more gap). ive only dome 1mm overbore, so if anything goes wrong you hopefully can bore once more if need be.
