car deies when i start it sometimes???

hey guys i dont have a problem starting the car the first thing in the morning, because it idles fine and everything. but if you turn the car off it tries to die at idle the next time you start it. i mean the engine tries to stay alive but the rpms bog down to 400rpms and then up to 900 and then back down over and over again, the only way i can stop it is by holding the rpms with my foot on the gas pedal for 30seconds or so, and then the idle stays at normal. but then when i come to a stop the car does the same thing all of the time, push the clutch in, idle drops rapidly sometimes killing the car and if it does not die, it goes back to normal until the next time. some have said it could be my o2 sensor, what do you think?

i have just noticed when i am rolling from a high speed like over 30mph, to a stop light, the car does not try to die. this is with it out of gear. it does it sometimes still though even at high speeds. last time the car bogged down and i heard the bov also let some air out, so i do not what that is all about. please help you guys, i cannot really keep modifying this car if stuff as simple as this does not work. so i would really appreciate any insight or help.

what maf system are you running stock?

is your bov vented to atmo?

if it is and your running stock maf then this could be your problem...

Run some good ol MMMC through and check intercooler piping make sure its all tight, and make sure no leaks after the maf

Did you check the ISC to see if it's bad? You have so many troubleshooting threads right now that I don't have time to go through them all to see if someone already suggested this. Same thing happened to me... $200 fixed it The ISCs on these cars die often.

you know what, it really sounds like that is what is going bad. i will definitely test it and thank you so much for finding this for me.

my car used to do that, then a high oscillating idle (1k-1500) after like a month. biss screw just needed some adjustment. I thought it might have been my ISC too...glad it wasnt
