so.... i just pick my car up from my mechanic who works on DSMs all the time and driving down the road (about 11 miles) at a sotp light my car starts idling like i have a set of mean cams or something, so im like WTF... i start to take off and my all the power is gone (like i blew my intercooler piping off) i turn around and go back to my mechanic and he pulls off my plug wires and (you was power surging from every plug wire when he pulled them when it was running and then he shut the car off and turned it back on and it quit doing it....

so im like ok problem fixed... NOTTT

driving home again it starts doing it again, i kill my motor and then start it back up with the clutch while driving....[<< i dunnno if that is bad hehe]

but ne wayz what would be causing this?!! PLEASE HELP ME!! my mechanic says my coil is going bad and #1 cylinder keeps shutting down

what a new coil definatly fix this or could this be a problem from the ECU since i have to restart my car when it happens and then it stops for a short while?? does a 6bolt swap require an earlier model ECU as well? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!! :rocks:

ALSO
when i start pulling a couple pounds of boost it falls on its face, the nipple on my head cover that people usually put a catch can on... has nothing on it at all is this a leak?

/\ that all happned last night...

this morning i get up and was going to limp it into work to show my buddies mah tizight riide and i started it up started backing out and it turned off then back on and i hear a click and my ABS light flashes, i tried to drive forward and it does the same thing a bunch i cant accelerate or it flicks off then back on (the engine)

PLEASE HELP IM A DUMBASS AND NEED MY DSM RUNNING!!!

Try changing your ignition power transister. Had the same kinda problem long time ago and I changed it and it hadnt happen since.

my car starts could this still be my ignition transister?

I didn't say it. Though come on, what kind of help do you expect? What all have you done? Is that it (what you have stated above)?

For starts have you tried checking the spark plugs? How about the wires? How about checking the coil pack (Whats the ohm readout)? Do you have a shop manual or DSM CD?
Yes its simple stuff, but a start.

Sure you could second guess your issue's, but its not going to help unless you start with some basics.

Could you also try not short handing most of your words too?

Yes a 6 bolt swap could cause you issues running with a what year ecu?

thanks, im really looking i guess for someone who has had the same problem..

i do not have a dsm cd anyone want to zip it and send it to me please??

i would have to order a copy of the manual because there isnt one at any local car parts stores, ive checked.

everything is connected, i just had it taken back to the shop i picked it up from and i guess im going to order a buscher COP setup, and maybe order a new ignition power transister thingy heh

hopefully this takes care of it doh :-/

AND im running a 95 2g stock ecu, my 6bolt is a 91'

your ignition power transistor is right behind your head intake side on top of your intake manifold, it is kinda hidden but it is towards your throttle body side. its a little black box about 1/2 inch high by 2 x 2. it says transistor on it, usually. actually it could be near the right side of your intake manifold, but its on there somewhere just look for it and you should see it. it has a bout a inch and a half thick plug going into it with alot of wires if im not mistaken.

well i retourqed my CAS sensor and aparently was loosing 5* timing because of it?? hmm

ne wayz driving my ride home after checking my CAS it doesn't do the 3 cylinder thing like 10 times, it only did it one time, so i guess its getting better doh :-/

LOL well i checkd my ignition coil and ignition transister and they read fine on the meter seems

anymore suggestions? i think im just gonna start guessing and replacing stuff. :spam:
