Can the 6 bolt crank go in a 7 bolt block???

i have a 6 blot setup in my gsx right now, and i have the old 7 bolt block laying around, i want to bore out my block so i was wondering if i can put my 6 bolt crank thats in my car now in the 7 bolt block so that i wont have to take the block out of my car now this way there is minimum down time.

Can the 6 bolt crank go in a 7 bolt block?

Also are there any differences between the 2 blocks or is it just the crank and oil pan that are different.

Someone went to the trouble of putting a six bolt setup in your 95 gsx because the 6 bolt is not nearly as prone to crankwalk that seems to menace 7 bolt motors. I would not recommend putting the 7 bolt in the car at all.

The main bearings are wider on a 6 bolt, they may be a larger diameter also, I don't really research the 7 bolts, so there may also be more difference which I am sure there are. 6 bolt blocks are easy to find, just look in the classifieds
