SBR Cast Manifold

Hey, I know the sbr cast manifold has been discussed about. But I have not seen anyone with the new one on their car. If anyone could provide pictures and how you either like or dislike it. I bought one, but its out at jet-hot right now. I should recieve it today, and it will be on later and i'll provide pictures, if I do recieve it today. Just wondering if anyone else has already put good use to it.

I have one on my 92 TSI. Been on over a year now, no problems with it yet. I had to gasket match it to the head, took about 2 hours with die grinder. Had to grind it in a few spots, it has a thick flange on it. Slowboy ported the turbo side to 7cm, and supplied the turbo SS gasket. I have a Evo 3 on the car and performance is great. Yu will like it.

It just came out a few weeks ago so I'm not sure how you've had one for a year...

Got the manifold back from jet-hot today. Looks real good. I also have pictures of it on the car as well, but they are pending in the gallery. Ill get them up soon. Overall install of it, wasnt bad. I had to grind a little off on the timing belt side of the manifold to get it in there. Its a lot thicker flanged manifold than a 2g, which is what i was using before. Overall, im happy with it, but I havent taken it out for a ride yet. But im sure ill see some nice gains with it

Slow boy racing cast iron race manifold
It finally arrived a couple of weeks ago. i ordered it fully ported. the port work is amazing on it. it mates up perfect to my bullseye housing. i really can't speak for the hp gain. all i can say is that my spooling has never come on faster, and the revs have never felt sooo smooth. this thing is just a work of art. but you don't have to take my word for it. See for yourself.

i'm very pleased

Man SleeperG, I ordered mine fully ported, but yours looks to be ported a lot more then mine. Did you ask specifically for them to port it very liberally?

nah its matched to the head, then the runners stay the same diameter all the way to the collector.
such a perfect port job, its like it was cnc machined that way. i'm very satisfied with it.
the other manifold in the pic is an unmodified 1g manifold for comparison.

Anyone use it with an external? That will be my sole reason for getting one and I'm a little worried about clearance with the stock AC fan.
