Just need to know how to run the hoses? Bought the car with a mbc on it but it was rusted and wouldn't budge, now I have a turbo xs mbc i got off my friend and I nne to know where to run the hose and where to tee it. The mbc that was on the car wasn't connected.

Thanks
Harry

from intake to mbc , from mbs to acuter on the turbo . > on the turbo xs mbc will tell you how to hook the flow( intake > acuter)

From the intake, or another vaccum source (bov, compressor housing) to the bottom of the MBC, then from the side to the Wastegate actuator.

By bottom of the MBC I mean the end opposite of the adjusting screw. :thumb:

Not true, TurboXS, bleeder type, is the opposite of a ball and spring type. The pressure source goes to the T nipple and the nipple opposite but inline with the adjustment knob goes to the actuator. TurboXS mbc, being a bleeder type valve and well known for boost spikes, should definitely be tapped to the compressor housing in order to keep the hoses as short as possible to help reduce the chances of boost spike.

what do you mean by bleader type, you mean make one end of the boost controler not hooked to anything

A bleeder type mbc, like the stock bcs with adjustability, controls boost by bleeding pressure off the signal going to the actuator, the actuator opens later due to seeing less than the actual pressure resulting in higher boost levels. In other words, it creates a boost leak in attempting to control boost.

A ball/spring mbc like Hallman and JoeP, blocks the path to the actuator with the ball until the spring tension in the mbc is reached, the spring is then compressed exposing the path to the actuator.

Generally speaking, ball/spring type is the more precise of the two.

No need for that. :) Everyone makes a mistake here and there.

Depends on which TurboXS MBC you're talking about-- their "high performance" MBC (or HPBC) is a ball and spring.
I see, did not know that, thanks for the clarification.
