I can't find any type of tubing that will make those bends without crimping AND will clamp on either end. I have a Greddy Type RS BOV on there now with the recirculation fitting, but it's in the same exact spot. I've tried radiator hose, coolant hose, ac hose, everything, even pre-bent hoses. Nothing fits. I've been to 4-5 local auto parts stores and they don't have anything even close to being able to recirculate.....I can't stand venting!

on a side note: check out her smile , the slowboy core required custom cutting and welding of the J-pipe in order to fit, PITA, but worth it.

You could always beat up a couple of school kids for their lunch money and then buy a
GM MAF/MAFT :thumb:

BTW: That was a joke. Please don't beat up little school kids for their lunch money.

I made mine out of aluminum sink tubing from the local hard ware store. Looks like you need to use to 90deg bends.

are you also going to fix the missing bolt on your turbo?
OMG eek

edit: oh yeah, what I meant to say was, hit up Lowe's or Ace or something, they've gotta have some flexible tubing that will work. Plumbing supplies.

Yeah I would suggest HomeDepot or Lowes. When I recently bought an intake pipe for my 1g it came with a flex hose for the recirculation tube. The kind that has a spiral wire in it with a flex rubbery hose. It flexes and bends easily with no kinks.

i'm suprised that witha 90D bend and raditor hose with 2 hose clamps won't work

Dude go to a large harware store and get lost in the plumbing section. After about an hour the answer will be right in front of you. I'll give you a hint.......90deg bends.

Thats a dumb problem to have, but a problem none the less :thumb:

try searching a bit on the classifieds to see if you can buy a 2g mas intake pipe for 1g...the BOV return tube is on an easier angle (close to turbo inlet) and you can probably use the stock rubber hose from the 1g's ...it would look pretty clean

There's your answer, exactly how I found mine though it was more like 10min. :)

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not quite sure 2 90's would work though. It's just at a REALLY weird angle. The best way I can describe it is that it looks like _ / (look sideways) the left side is the BOV outlet and the right one is the angle the return line is in. (actually faces a little to the left) I don't think 2 90's would do the trick, but I'll hit up lowe's 2morrow. Wouldn't such a long return line slow that air down so much that it loses momentum? Anyway, yeah that turbo bolt is there, so's the heat shield. Still tuning with dsmlink! Only flowed like 32lbs with a raw conservative tune....

Anyway i'll hit up the plumbing sections and see what I can dig up.

After looking at the picture again It looks like you can use two 45's, to give you a straight drop down with a 90. But the picture may be playing tricks on me. I had that similar setup and had to use some 45s but it worked. And I wouldn't wouldnt worry much about the air velocity, as long as the air is being recirculated one way or another you'll lose the negative effects of venting.

1. Take off the UIP.
2. Cut of the BOV flange use a sawzall (an air cutting wheel would work better if you have access).
3. Reweld the BOV flange pointing the correct direction.

Easy as 1, 2, 3. If you dont have a tool to cut with, bring the entire pipe with you to a machine/welding shop. I pulled off my UIP in the parking lot of a machine shop and had them cut and weld it. They charged me $10 for about 10 minutes of labor.

I think this is the best way to go if you dont want it to look stupid, plus its cheap. You dont want people making fun of you for ghetto rigging... IMO

And you should really get a bolt for the exhaust manifold to turbo. They are real cheap and it may help you build more manifold pressure (faster spool). Ive seen many leak with 4 bolts, so its likely you are leaking as well. You will never really know until you get on the dyno.

Oh no, are those wires running to window washer LED's... I think Im done giving suggestions.

turbocharged, if you would have read my last post you would have seen that the missing turbo bolt has been put on. Also, yes those wires are running to the lights, the previous owner installed them, and no I don't even know how to turn them on, nor do I care. Even if I did use them, it's my car.

Your suggestion about a machine shop sounds right though, it will have to wait until I get back to a real town with a decent shop though.

The thing that pisses me off is that over the phone slowboy said repeatedly that the stock return line would fit with just about any intake. Way off slowboy. :nono:

depending on how bad the kinks are in the hose you can usually put a hose clamp on the hose where the kink is and tighten it until it squeezes the hose open and leave it on there. Kind of hard to explain but it does work

i work at a autopart store and i have seen hoses that can bend like that without crimping. the first 2 numbers start with 26 dunno after that. its depends on the size u need. GATES is the company go ask a parts store if they sell it. they r quite long tho. dunno if u can cut it.
