Ok so installed it today and didnt adjust the screw. i also have not connected the bottom nipple but plan to tee it into the nipple on the turbo compressor housing. when i started the car up and revved it the bov went off. i wasnt sure if that was normal. when driving it sounds fine although i do need a mbc because it spikes to like 17-18psi then drops. i didnt think the bov was supposed to go off at idle so do i need to adjust the screw on top or am i ok. alos what kind of sounds should it not make. thanks ahead of time

"i didnt think the bov was supposed to go off at idle"

Went off when you revved or went off at idle? If you revved it up pretty high, it would probably squeak a little, but not a full on "whoosh". If it's making sounds at idle, then something's wrong.

Also, you don't need to have anything connected to the lower nipple.

my friends has a type s on his srt4 and when you cruise down the street and let off the throttle, his blow off valve stays open a tiny tiny bit. if you listen carefully, you can hear this shiiiiiiing that will keep going until you press the gas to close it. thats how alot of people are with push type bov on a soft setting. push types do stay open a little bit at idle, and if you have a t-25 you can definitely get it to make a sound when reving in nuetral.

yeah it makes the sounds when i rev it in neutral. so i guess everything sounds like its ok awesome. thanks for the info

Few things when i installed my type s. If the screw adjustment is to tight, you will hear the excess air come out the intake. When i got mine it was all the way down so the air was all going out the intake. I adjusted it so it was a bit softer and then it was fine. I also left the bottom nipple open and not T'd in or anything.

r u talking about excess air at idle or during wot. yeah i heard that u can leave it open but i also heard that u can tee it into a boost source such as the compressor nipple and it wouldnt be as hard to adjust. oh well i will just leave it how it is for now and see what happens. i think it should be good though.

I left the lower nipple unconnected and have had no problems at all. I just took a couple of short passes through the neighborhood adjusting the screw a little bit each time and finally got it right. It doesn't open prematurely and let's off a nice echoing ping everytime :thumb: Just play around with the screw for a little while and you'll love it.
