external wastegate/ passing emissions

Does anyone know if you can pass emissions with a external wastegate? I am looking to put a external wastegate on my new turbo. If there is no way that i can pass emissions with a external wastegate, then how would i change my setup to pass? Please help!!!

As long as it is routed back into the exhaust, then I don't see a problem. But with an open WG, that might get a little tricky.

BTW, I pay $100 each year for my emission testing.

it actually won't effect the actuall sniffr. its a matter of the tester knwoing what it is and nnoticing that it isn't routedback into the exaust.
