Has anyone else been having troubles with dsmotorsports or their parts? I ordered the 216 intercooler kit about 3 months ago? and have been having nothing but problems. First off i spent extra money of the stainless steel pipes, i get the kit and am installing it and the upper pipe is wrong, had the bov flange welded on the wrong end. Not to mention the core was dented when i received it. Also, they were short the 2in clamp for just off the turbo he said he would send it right away, but i still havent seen one, it has been around 3 months? next, the couplers are POS, they are too thin for the clamps used. I had leaks at almost every connection with the clamps fully bottomed out, something that should NOT be happening in my books when you spend 1000 dollars? They need to use different clamps, or different couplers. That is about all, anybody who has dealt with dsmotorsports or with this kit let me know how your experiences have went. Thanks nate

Well I wish I would have purchased it through IRC. I have a friend that got one from IRC and has had no problems at all. Oh well i guess this is how you find stuff out. It sucks learning stuff the hard way though:cry:

I purchased parts from Nathan last month. Although my order wasn't as large, important, or expensive as a FMIC, I had excellent service; th order was correct and punctual. Nathan spend well over an hour talking to me on the phone about various tuning issues and products. However, a am sorry you're having bad luck, I hope you can get your issues resolved.

I agree Nathan's service was excellent, But, thats not all that I was spending my cash on. It was the product i received that was not up to my expectations. It was just some of the parts that suffered, including the silicon couplers/or clamps whichever you want to blame, and the piping issues. It is good that you guys had good experiences with the place, I have talked to Nathan about the pipe that was wrong and the clamp i never received, he has assured me he will take car of it. But the couplers are another issue.

NJGSX96: what kit did you get from him? And what kind of couplers did you receive with it? were they the thin silicon ones from turbonetics? you have had no problems with leaks? thanks, nate

nitrouskris: dsmotorsports intelcoolers and pipes are irc, he resales the kit,and nathan is a good guy, call him and ask him what can he do for you.I don't think this is right, because i have asked him where he gets the kits from, and he said he has a place in town do the piping and get the ic from turbonetics i believe it was. Correct me if I am wrong. Nate

DSMotorsports uses Spearco Intercoolers and variousd pipes. Some local, some IRC, some VSR, some Victory.

End tanks being dented are most likely caused by shipping.

91nbtsi, you are correct. You don't pay for just service, but for parts. I am glad Nate is going to handle the parts that were missing/incorrect. Like I mentioned, the core being dented is most likely from shipping. Shipping companies suck. As for the couplers, I do not think I have the turbonetics couplers... at least they do not have the turbonetics logo (I think they put the logo on their products, right?). I think I have silicone couplers, but, honestly, do not know if they are turbonetics. I will check at lunch for you since I took the 1G today.

only the reducer coupler off the turbo on my car has the logo on it, but the rest is made of the same exact material. Are yours relativealy thin? you have no boost leaks to speak of with them? I am going to have to get some heavy duty stuff from the peterbilt dealer or something, because this stuff is just too thin, I had to wrap cardboard under the clamps to get them to seal at all, Not something you would expect when you pay a grand for parts. Nate

nathan does get the piping from irc,and some fmic, he also now sales victory performance fmic, because he sales there 02 housing. victory 1 gen fmic is about a week away,i know because i call victory about 2 weeks ago. all and all dsm motorsports, victory performance, morales racing, irc, buschur racing, all make a nice fmic, shipping companies do suck. I am sorry you get #@%#@%#@%#@%ed by the shipping companies. did you call nathan ?

I have called nathan, he is a tough guy to get ahold of too. He is sending me a new upper pipe and the clamp that wasnt with my kit to start with. But he did not say anything about the couplers. Soo, i dunno if i want to #@%#@%#@%#@%#@% anymore or what to do.

It is hard to get a hold of Nate because he is a one man show right now. Idon't think he expected to be as busy as he is either so it has kinda hit him as a surprise. If you can't get through, leave a message or send him an email. He will get back to you as soon as he can.

91nbtsi... call him again or email him and ask him about the couplers. He is an honest man and wants his customers to be happy.
