I was checking out the Dejon tool intake for the 1 G cars and It looks like a good part but Im questioning its performance improvement. I cant tell if itd actually help or if its a waste of money? Does anyone have this mod? Is it worth it? Now the intercooler piping on the other hand looks very nice and that I deff. want!

take off your stock intake pipe... notice the little 1.5" opening. I never had one with a stock turbo. But I did notice a nice difference when I had the 2g maf & switched from the Injen to the 3" dejon with my 16g.

Dejon tool intakes are a great bang for the buck...It's only like $80 stop being a cheap ass and buy one...

Im not being a cheap ass, but in a world of tuning parts where some parts dont do #@%#@%#@%#@%, its nice to find out a opinion of someone who has made the mod already. Plus Im new at this turbo stuff and dont want to waste what little cash I do have so..

Will the 3 inch bolt up to a stock turbo on a 1G?

Yes... he'll include step downs that will allow it to mate to your turbo.. then when you upgrade to a larger turbo later on... just remove the stepdowns that you no longer need.

Cool, sounds like a good buy, thanks guys!

So the 3 inch is for a bigger turbo? So would a reducer like a rubber coupler do OK, if it went from 3 inch to 2 1/2? Cause I have one of those in my garage.

What do you guys think of his upgraded SM intercooler and the piping? It seemed like a good mod to me untill I have a grand + to drop on a front mount.

We have a local guy that's ran 11.8 on a SMIC like he sells. I definately think that it's a viable alternative until one can afford a FMIC. We used to make them.. but got too busy w/ the FMICs & now refer everyone to Dejon.

When I ordered my intake I told Dave what my plans were & he included the needed stepdowns.

I hate how easilly the stocker SMIC heatsoaks... I would rather run a Supra Mark IV Sidemount. Seeing as I have one on the shelf, I probably will, too ;)
