Dump Tube Removal Out of the intake

Whats the best way to get the dump tube out without forcing it Its glued in with some pretty strong glue. Any sort of help will be great.

Nah, my friends trying to install an HKS SSQ BOV with the recirc kit. Im tryin to help him out.. He wont let my try to force it out of there with a flathead screwdriver. He thinks he needs to take it to a professional to take it out, and install the bov. Its total bs.. He needs someone to convince him he can do it himself.

That's the best way. Just trim off all the exposed glue, then pry the flexible rubber part away from the plastic dump tube a little bit at the time, working your way around. After doing this awhile, you'll be able to pull the dump tube out. It's not gonna break. But if by some miracle it does, just go to Home Depot and buy another piece of the same diameter ABS pipe for like $2.

but unfortunatly my friends dad is taking it to a pro to install his HKS SSQ BOV and recirc kit for about 75$. His parents dont trust him or me working on his car. I think its stupid...

i chiped of the glue just like that, with the screw driver then pried it out and re silicioned it back in

For 75 bucks, geez he should just suck it up and buy a damn new intake pipe....they cost abut 25 - 40 bucks more and look nicer
