valve cover removal???

I have taken off all of the bolts to remove the valve cover, and I should be able to pull it off now, but I am having trouble doing so. Any ideas would be great.

Double check you got them all then go ahead and pry it off. You can also take the oil cap off and get your finger under the cover.

Use a flat head around the seal and it should pop right off.

yeah look for any bolts you might have missed. the gaskets can hold like a mofo is somebody did an overkill on the liquid gasket. take it easy with a wide head flathead and it will work free.

and remember whne you put it back on be carful and not tighten the bolts by the spark plugs too much, it will crack

mine came off nice and easy each time ive done it.. sounds like you mighta missed a bolt.. go back over it and make sure you got all the innter and outter bolts off..

Even when all the bolts are all off, it can sometimes be a chore, or atleast mine was. I would try to get something underneath the crease and wedge it out. Personally, I dunno how you could miss any bolts? Like the others said, when you go to put it back on, make sure you don't torque down on those bolts very hard, as you will crack the cover.

be very careful when prying it off. Not only can you break it, you can put a gouge in the head, and if you do that, it will always leak oil there.

yeah prying sucks, Mine came off after a few whacks with a rubber mallet

careful with whacking as well, it leads to blindness and hairy palms

j/k, but if you hit that aluminum facsimile with a hammer hard enough it will crack

wave a magic wand around the 4 corners while stand on 1 foot drinking lemonade chanting the wheels on the bus go round and round. That worked good for me.

Did it make a difference that I didn't pull the spark plugs out??? I didn't think that it would, but someone told me that I was supposed to.
