got act 2600 clutc in but it does not disengage???

i just put it on and when you try to shift while the car is on it does not allow you to go into any gear is there something i have to buy like a longer slave cylinder rod? or is there a way i can get around this, and way to do it without shelling out too much money?

Follow these guides to the letter..

The hydraulic system has air in it... Clutch needs to be bled... Also check the 1g linkages and maybe shim the pivot ball if needed.. Go ever everything listed for 1g on both sites.

It will cure it.

Hope you got the flywheel stepped/cut to .613" If not, have fun pulling the tranny/clutch out, and doing it.

its a new act streetlite. i heard that you did not have to do that if you buy it new.

try adjusting your shift linkage in side of the car. also check the play on the ball of the piviot arm!!! this was my problem and i could not get the clutch to disenguage for any thing!! you can buy a new one ($10) or just put a washer or 2 behind it. also check for play in your petal assebly
