HKS Exhaust question's

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a HKS exhaust system, and I'm not sure which system would be the best for my needs. HKS offers alot of different choices and I'm un-sure which would add the most HP.

The choices are the Hi-Power Exhaust, Drager Exhaust, Sport Exhaust, Carbon-Ti Exhaust, Drager II Exhaust, and Turbo Exhaust.

I would think that the Turbo exhaust would be the best for me, but I'm not really sure...

Would anyone that has HKS exhaust give me some input? Anything is greatly appreciated.

get a 3 inch cat-back exhaust! I BELIEVE that HKS only makes 2 1/2 inch piping on thier exhaust systems. I was going to buy an HKS system but they didn't come in 3 inch so I bough apex-i! hope that helps.

2 1/2" piping on a turbo car is a way of the past. I've never seen 3" piping from HKS. I'm not knocking HKS, cause I do love their products, unfortunatly, their exhaust system leaves much to be desired. Get an Apex N1. It looks nice and flows very well.

Isn´t 3" too much for a mid tuned engine? I read that Brent Rau uses a 3" on his car and he is pumping way more than 500 hp. Am I right?

Well, HKS does make 3" exhausts for 2G's...however, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the FWD versions are 2.75" inch. But I know the AWD ones are 3"....BUT, they neck down to 2.5" to mate up to a stock cat. I have a HKS Carbon-Ti catback exhaust on mine...which I had to modify to make a full 3". I had to remove about 10" which was 2.5" and had to remove the 2.5" resonator as well.

I love HKS Products and especially its exhaus systems so i say go with the Turbo Exhaust system because it gives you up to 30hp and i dont think there is a better exhaust from HKS except Hiper, but go look at the parts guide and go to exaust and ull find the hiper and turbo exaust system there.
