Does anyone have this turbo or have experience with it. I was on the slowboy racing site, and i really like what i hear. And so far i'm gonna get a L2R, but now this turbo has caught my eye. And just want some more info. thanks guys

i have no specific info on the turbo your asking but mike at slowboy racing knows what he is doing. as fr as the overall price and service i say there the best im sure anything you get from slowboy you will be more than happy with. cant wait till monday to try out my internally gated 20g i ordered from mike

your best bet is to contact Mike @ slow boy racing and ask him directly and then call Kevin or Ben @ AGP and ask them and just deal with whomever you feel comftorable with.

Everyone I know with the L2R is happy so far, same goes with all the turbos from SBR.

yeah, just call mike...you will probably need to leave a message, but he will call you back asap. as far as the turbo, that thing is sick as hell. i saw one of them, it's a pretty popular turbo from slowboy. mike showed me one that my friend ordered. lets put it this way: i saw my friend blow into the wheel & it spun. (coolest breathelizer ever) but seriously, sick ass turbo! i forsee many local people going with that turbo & even more & more local dsm's dominating everything at the local track. (not like they already don't)

Ben & Kevin @ AGP are great guys & have a great product.

Good ole Mike Huml @ Slowboy Racing is a great guy & makes a great product as well

..... Personaly I don't think you could go wrong with either turbo builder. :thumb:

Agreed, Mike Ben & Kevin. Are very knowledgeable, and helpful people. The dsm community has needed guys like them for a long time. im glad we have resources like AGP and Slow Boy to help guide us when making such important purchases as a turbo. they are the definition of great customer service:thumb: i have never seen competing venders compliment each other like the guys at AGP and Slow Boy, very impressive. that just goes to show what there focuses are. "the betterment of the dsm community as a whole". you guys are great, congrats.

;) Well now that were down to it one of them GT-12's sounds nice:D
(Thats a JK) :)

Ps... GT12 is on my new FWD car..... works pretty well...... nothing like lighting up both front tires at 100 MPH :) LOL

One of my favorite things to do in my car (when I have leftover C16 in the tank after going to the track) is to roll up to some riceboys running 25psi.

It's amazing how dumping the clutch into 2nd at 40mph will still light up all 4 tires.

My personal fav. though, is the look on the kids faces when it happens.

Keep in mind, this is on a 9:1 bottom end..... still with stock cams for now.... but I get full boost on a roll in third at about 3300-3500 rpm's... this is starting about 2500 rpm's in third... This is with the internal gate, like the ones you sell on the Franks.

I am assuming about 400 plus to the wheels on pump gas and 22 psi right now.

Traction is an issue, yes...... but it is cool to lay a patch in third gear next to some crazy Mustang owner at 80 MPH :)

I own a SBR-G50 and we shall see what it does on the dyno in 2 weeks. :) As for SBR, I have spoken to Mike so many times, and he is a really good guy to deal with. I started dealing with him from day one, and the only thing I regret is not holding out for the new BB turbos. :D LOL...

Well Will,

Let me know if you want to sell your turbo so you can buy a BB... Id glady snatch it up from you!!

I forgot to add...

A few months back, the GT12 went 12.0 @ 122 MPH on Tom Ruffners car.... Do not pick on him about his lack of driving skills....

This was his third run with the turbo on a stock bottom end, and HKS cams....

His next run he shattered the t case.... But I am sure it has 125-127 mph in it.. It is also an internal gate.

Mike Huml

Mike would you suggest the ts04 housing? With my setup I don't think I would have any clearance issues. it seems you are the only person offering the native ts04 housing as an option. what difference's would one expect, with the tso4 housing as opposed to the to4e housing.

There are a few housings that the Gt series is intended for. All of the compressor maps, etc... are shown in a .70 a/r compressor cover.. At least all the maps I have seen.

Does the bigger cover flow a litte more CFM, probably yes. Is it needed for this size of a turbo? Not in my opinion. But it does work very well..

BTW... My personal GT12 has a to4e cover.
