help with safcII

I'm going to install my safc II this Saturday the 13nth and just needed a couple of ?'s answered before you guys start flaming me for asking my questions I have done my research and looked in the website to see if anyone had asked the same question or if it had been answered allready. Here is my question the installation guide on prostreetonline.com states that I should tap the purple wire to the ECU and some of the articles on dsm tuners state not to do it which one is correct.
Also what would be the setting I would have to put on my safcII with the mods that I have at this time?
mod list are- apexi n1 full exhaust with down pipe all 3", ingen intake, greddy big front mount intercooler, lower and upper ic pipes greddy type s blow off valve, nology spark plug wires

Dont bother hook up the purple wire, its worthless for our cars. The installation is pretty straight foward. Just read what prostreetonline says carefully and make sure you have the Ecu pin out so identifying what wires to splice will be easy. You can get the pin outs from vfaq. Set the afc to 0 everything, Karmen vortex and 4 cyl. Find a way to datalog before you start to "tune" with the afc
