Wuz Up Guys. I'm new to the dsm scene but i just recently bought a 92 non turb talon with a broken down tranny (only 1 and 5th works) for $500. I also have a friend that does jdm engines which is the whole reason y i bought the car to put the turbo cyclone in it, I am getting the engine only with the awd tranny. i would like to know if it is possible to be done and if so what will i need to do it sucessfully

AWD tranny will not work since your car was FWD to begin with just get a FWD turbo tranny.

if you want it awd you will have to spend to much money, its not really worth it, even with the car only being 500$. like jenni said just get a fwd tranny and your set, also the cyclon intake manifolds cant have everything from us spec hooked up to be completely stock, ive never seen anyone w/ it though..don't qoute me i could be wrong just my 2cents

jdm motors will bolt right up, if you have a 1st gen car. the *JDM* name really makes no real difference the intake manifold is different, however its much easier to just swap the us specs manifold and t-body. the jdm motor i got, had a mildly blown head gasket when i got it. i would recommend just a normal us specs turbo motor.

Alright, so here is the deal. Ive seen it done a few times and its not a tough thing. In my opinion i would just sell the car and buy a turbo model, it makes things much easier. You can keep your factory ecu and it wont really give you too many problems. A JDM motor is definately the way to go though. You can get the 225 hp or the 255 hp model which comes with a big16g and 510cc injectors. We sell the jdm longblock with the turbo and without the tranny for $1300 and it comes with a 6 month warranty.
