i was just curious if anyone knows how much hp a 2nd gen 4g63 motor would have if the turbo didnt work?i know stock their 210hp but how about with out the turbo?

If the non working turbo is still connected to the motor. It will be a horrible driving experience. when my 14b died the car was horrible. If I had to guess I would say 90 total HP.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen. 14b died on the highway, I could hit max like 50 Mph, but the turbo hadn't siezed, so I had to only use like 10% throttle, otherwise the turbo would try and spool up, and make this horrible noise (I didn't want to do any more damage)

The NA 4g63s on the 1st gen eclipses made 135hp with a 9.2:1 compression ratio. The 4g63 turbo motors have 8.5:1 compression, so if the turbo was taken off, I would guess it would be making about 120hp due to the lower compression.

aww ok i understand what your saying ....yeah like 50 to 80 hp be prepard to get wooped by a Geo metro LOL
