Is there anything bad about venting an external WG that is mounted on the Exhaust Manifold collector to the atmosphere rather then getting something to recirculate it. I live in a small town in Oklahoma and am not worried about legality. I am doing my research for later when i go with a RS60 turbo. I know i am not ready for an external WG yet. I plan on just buying a O2 housing with only a hole for the turbine housing because the rerouted O2 from DNP seems a little more expensive than a VPE piece. Thanks for any help!

theres nothing wrong with dumping the wastegate gasses out to the atomosphere. In fact it limits boost creep to almost none. just make sure your dump tube is long enough and exits the engine bay so you dont burn your wiring harness or cook your oil filter.. it also sounds mean when you dump :rocks:

Where is a good place to buy dump tubes? I have seen plenty of O2 housings with dump tubes but not for a WG. I don't think i have ever ran across dump tubes just for the WG when running it off the manifold.

the people i know who run it off the Manifold made their own. if you dont have access to a welder then an exhaust shop can probably make one.

sbr sells one ported with external wastegate flange for about 400$

Yup. Vendors like SBR wont sell premade dump tubes, because they wont fit for everyone. Your dump tube has to be custom made because they are all car specific. It all depends on there exactly your WG is mounted and where you want the exhaust gas routed to.....

jawsgst - Here are some pics of my dump tube that I fabbed..... Just to give you a rough idea of how it's done.
