Whats different about the HKS super sequential BOV, compared to the HKS standard or race BOV they offer. Also, what would your recommendation be for the best BOV on the market (performance and even sound means something). Looking for one that is easy to install, gets the job done well, and sounds well while doing it (not looking for the swoosh sound, looking for the high pitched, ear piercing "tweet").

So far Im looking at the HKS S/S (please tell me the diff), GReddy Type-R (I do plan on upgrading the turbo), and the Apex BOV.

Im VERY interested to see if anyone has interest/experience in the Apex BOV, Im curious to how well it works/sounds (God Im a sucker for Apex parts  ) All imput appreciated, thanks :dsm:

Well if your not going to keep the stock BOV, and you want max performance and sound then Id recommend the Tial BOV's.... holy shite are they nice!! They hold my friends 25psi with not a sign of leaking ever and Im sure itll do more. The standard and SS are differentiated by the valves. The SS has 2 and the standard has 1. The SS is very efficient and sounds very nice when venting. If you want a viscous peep then the RFL is where its at... those are the most Ive heard, aside from all the type-s's and stock BOV's

Personally I have the HKS SSQV and I think its the best on the market. I vent to atmosphere and my car runs great with no problem, which is due to the design of the valve which is not to leak. It also sounds more like a high pitched whistle rather than a swoosh. If you want a great valve that works and sounds well then get this. Buschur sells it for $200. Not a bad price at all.

Why get a BOV that will only vent to atm when you know you will run rich when shifting? Is sound really all that important that even if you know it wont run as good as vent back to intake?

If you dont want to vent to the atmosphere then you can get the recirculation kit. There is sound difference, it's different but I still like it. Still, when venting to the atmosphere I hardly run rich. Your car might be different though.
