I have got a 3in downpipe that cuts out the cat and is going to go full 3in back to a dual tip magnaflow muffler. should i leave it straight exhaust with a muffler, or add a high flow cat, or add a resonator. i am looking for a deep throaty sound, when idle and when getting on it, thanks for the help

You'll have a deeper sounding idle and overall crusing if you put a resonator on there. Dont bother with a cat unless you need it for emissions.

yeah, i have an n1 exhaust and it has 2 resonators on it..... sounds awesome.

Jegs, summit racing, muffler shop....a lot of places have them. and yeah, the n1 is :thumb: i got mine and it's great. Brandon [VFRacing]

I have a 3" turbo-back on my 1g that I made in my driveway...it's just straight 3" piping with a 3" straight-through resonator from summit racing (it was like $30-40) and a 3" Megan racing "turbo muffler." Sounds awesome...very deep and throaty. Everyone in town says my car is the best 4 cyl they've ever heard. Too bad it's been in the shop for 8 months.
