Ok, I got one today, and got the harness to make it simple install. Well i get the harness for the most part, but not these three wires.. and the harness backing is in japan

The manual for the timer does show the harness but not these wires. thanks.

you don't need them. just make sure you run the green wire to the ebrake so no one jacks your car while it's running.

Its been awhile, but isnt the parking brake wire on the Greddy timer brown?

you know, i was thinking that right after i posted it... i think the wire you splice into is green and thats what i was thinking.

Might want to check the manual for the T-Timer found here for your reference.

The harness you show in the picture above is just the "optional timer harness (reference pg 3 of document above)" for ease of installation, the wires you question are just there for YOUR convience. Lets say you need a switched 12V lead for your gauges or something. You can just splice into this wire (IE the green one), if you need a constant source, let say for a memory hold or something, you can splice into the red wire.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND that the wire ARE NOT FUSED. it is recommended if you are going to connect multiple devices to the harness that you use external relay and use the swithced wire to trigger that. IE send the green wire to one side of the coil on a bosch style relay. Ground the other side of the coil. Ther fore when the key switch is in the ON position it will energize the realy coil. Now on the swithced side of the relay bring a a heavier FUSED wire from the battery. And use the output (either normally open or normally closed) to go to your circuit thus the ingintion wire only has to power the lower draw coil and have the fused heavier gauge wire power the accesories.

A good site for basic eletronic knowledge is www.the12volt.com. It is usually recommended to have a basic multimeter availbale when working on eletrical circuits incase of troubleshooting. You nca pick up a cheapo at true value for $15

The 3 wires for external triggers (black- for ground, purple- for speed, and brown- for the Ebrake, THE GRAY ONE IS NOT USED) are found on the harness that connects to the back of the Timer itself.

thats really good to know! I had no idea thats what they were for! that would help de-crapify my wiring quite a bit. Thanks!

yeah saves from tapping into the fuse box as well, Im grabbing a 25amp fusebox and thats where my oil press and trans temp gauge is being wired up too :thumb:
