Hey guys, just testing the waters to see if there is interest in a tubular control arm for the 1G FWD and AWD. They will have stock mounting points with solid aluminum bushings instead of the factory rubber ones. They will be great for drag racers and autocross racers alike. They will weigh 5.5 lbs less than stock per side. Remember this is 11 lbs of unsprung weight.

We will be running them on our two race cars this year, when they hit the track.

I'm not meaning to advertise, just trying to offer a better product for our cars and see if people are interested. I'm going to try to attach a pic, if it works.

Let me know what you think.

The pic worked. They look nice. But I have a 2G and thet look like a pain to install on a street car.

Later,

They will not work on a 2g.....Sorry But dont worry I will be making some for the 2G as well. As for the install it should take the average guy less than a hour for both sides to install.

Dude, hell yeah us hardcore guys would be interested in that. Make a tubular K frame too while you're at it. ;) I am ALL FOR people making parts like that for the hardcore guys. Everyone else can lay with their clear tailights and complain about boost spiking to 12 psi with their 16g's while the rest of us are making horsepower. What kind of prices would we be talking? If you'd prefer to discuss this off the board you can email me at [email protected]. I'd be more than happy to help R&D things as well. I'm different than the average DSM'er. I'll actually grab my balls and try something new.

Regards,

What is the price range?? I am game to try some new things.

ill take a set right now.

ditto;)

I'm all about making power and saving weight. I'm just not about attempting to replace something I've never touched before on my daily driver that I need to get to work on a monday. :D

Later,

Ok the price per set will be around $425 (I might be willing to sell the first couple of sets cheaper for some feedback). If the moderator's want to delete the price I will understand.

I have two sets done for our cars right now. I should be able to get started making several sets in the next couple of weeks.

I'm game dude! I'll give you some feedback and the sorts. Out here in Hawaii, my 91 GSX sees some 1/4 mile action but I really like to turn the steering wheel when I drive! I'm active on the SCCA solo 1 scene and I also do the "Day at the Track" when a speed shop here in Hawaii sponsors to open up the road coarse to the import scene. They are trying to start a "touring car" like season for us here.

My racing experince goes back too about 4 years on the Solo 1. 1st in the C stock division in 2001 and a gold medal in the same division for the "Aloha State Games" in 2000. Finished in 2nd in point standings for C stock in 2000. This was all done in a 91 Mazda Miata so my transition too the GSX is a dissapointment for the Eclipse (sorry guys). Though it's an AWD, It does not perform like the Miata. Talk about riding on rails! The Miata is a solid performer. (Did I mention the Miata was STOCK!) So I'm trying to find that same feel and performance out of my GSX and if your products fit the bill like you say do, then we will all be winners. Hawaii does have a big club here (DSM Hawaii), and with more than half of them being hardcore racers.......you get the picture.

Much Thanks,
Shea

Club DSM Hawaii.....Is there a guy out there named Keith McDonnell?
He was one of the first people to get one of our sheet metal intakes. He had a Gallant GVR4.

Let me know when you have a 2G ready, and I will be glad to take it off your hands.
