I'm looking into some afpr's and I came across a weapon-r that does a 1:1. I'm wondering how it would know the boost unless it would be connected somewhere after the turbo (I would expect somewhere on the intake manifold). What I'm really wondering is if the performance fpr's for our cars are designed to work w/ positive pressure instead of vacuum. My stock (or any turbo dsm that i'm aware of) fpr is connected to a solenoid which is controlled by the ecu. Is there a afpr that is made to work w/ turbo cars w/o a solenoid?
 
The line running from the FPR to the selenoid is a vacuum line, not a wiring harness. Go look a little closer. The vacuum line is connected to your intake manifold, which supplies the FPR with a boost source, so it can attempt to raise pressure at a 1:1 ratio.

The selenoid does something to help with cold starts and that is it, I believe.

Weapon-Rs don't hold 1:1 (as much as they insist that they do), and the adapter plates that most places sell with them start leaking fuel.

I got fed up and got an Aeromotive, with Import Evolution's install kit. Only problem with that is my own fault.. put the teflon on the line fitting coming from the rail against the threads, so the end of it got pulled into the aperture, and I'm not holding pressure. Just gotta take it off and clear it out... but it's a good FPR.

I know the line from the fpr to the solenoid is a vacuum line, what I failed to see is the vacuum line from the solenoid to the intake mani, now it makes sense. Thnx for the info guys. This does answer my question as to how the hell does a solenoid provide constant vacuum :p
