hell,
Michigan
Im considering if I want to fix my 92 FWD Auto, or part it out. I got it with a burnt out ECU. I was going to replace it but if ther is a short I dont want to destroy a $300 ECU. I check the ohms on all the wires. I was told that anything with 0 or real low was ground or shorted, however pin 24 is sensors ground and i got 540. I got 0's on pins 1 2 3 9 11 12 16 22 57 60 62 65 and 107.
Sounds to me like way too much wrong with it. Im I correct in thinking that all thoes pins are shorted or the sensors are bad?
Dos it make a difference if the battery is in it or not?
Is the ignition system magneto? I was told that it is and is not worth trying to fix.
The car has a great body, but is an automatic and it has 200,000 miles on it.
What do you guys think, fix it or part it out??

What engine does it have in it the 1.8, 2.0 or the 2.0 T? A wiring harness and ECU can be had for under $400 but changing out the harness is labor intensive and requires you to remove the dash. (Been There) If it were up to me depending on if you already have a DD or not I personally would part it out just because of the milage.
