I just managed to score an ExMag catback from MVPMotorsports. Finding catbacks other than the Apexi N-1 in stock for a 2g FWD can be a real chore. After several phone calls do different places....they located the ExMag at RS*R's warehouse. I am very excited to have located this exhaust and they gave me an outstanding deal cause its apparently been discontinued. I figure this will give me some decent flow but retain a stock apprearance and sound. I have the Espelir on my 03 WRX and after having your brain rattled around in your head from that rumble, it will be nice to have something quiet on the DSM. Review to follow....exhaust should be Friday or Monday. :dsm:

I got the RS*R Exhaust when Turboimports.com had a few of them in stock. QUiet exhaust, great tone, great performance. Highly recommended

I have a 3" Cat Back RS*R exhaust as well and LOVE IT !!!....I like the tone and the performance. I got it with the resonator to block the noise down even more. GREAT EXHAUST !!!

The RS*R ExMag arrived on Friday afternoon late. Wasting no time, my buddy and I pulled the car in the garage(it was raining) and began the 2 hour catback project. The quality of construction was evident the moment I tore open the box. The welds where outstanding, the can was a thing of beauty. The only real chore of the installation was removing the stock catback(clearing the rear sub-frame sux). It comes with an adapter the necks down the catback to fit the stock DP. I guess today after work Ill be riding by some muffler shops looking for a spare flange and a piece of 3inch pipe to make my own adapter and lose the neckdown. I didnt know what to expect in terms of sound. I was surprised and how quiet the exhaust is just cruising around, but when you punch it, it growls. Another interesting side affect of being catless was the reaction of my recirc'd Greddy Type S, it got much louder. It can be heard blowing off from down the street now. I guess with less restriction its going to be louder. As for perfomance, it was different than my previous catbacks on my Audi 1.8t and WRX. I could blow the front tires off in first and beginning of second gear. I seem to have lost some low-end grunt in favor of some serious pull in 3-5.5k range. The car just pulls effortlessly through the upper range(until the T-25 runs outta steam). All in all it was the best mod so far in terms of noticeable gains. And for some perspective to all you T-25's, my WRX has the stock 13g with Up-Pipe, DP, Catback and Engine Mgmt. It dynoed at 225awhp and 238ft/tq. The DSM pulls so much higher in the range than it does. :dsm:
