EVO3GT (china 16g) failure

ask the girl for details if intereseted she got it from Turbochargers.com and wasnt privy to the fact it was not an MHI unit until she recieved it and was linked to some threads here about it. I dont care I got a real MHI 18g from Forced Performance and couldnt be happier

one of my freinds had a evo3gt that killed itself in a day. the sidemount was full of oil, the turbo had eaten itself alive, and some other bad things i have repressed.

we later found out that the oil return line kinked and guess what, pressurized oil from the oil filter housing has to go somewhere. at 20psi, it sure found its way, we emptied out a quart from the sidemount, and another from the licp.

luckily whoever he got it from(and not buschar, some ebay store) took it back no questions asked, we got a new one, modified the return tube, and its been dandy since.

Speaking of oil return tubes...I am NOT impressed with turbochargers.com.
It is soooooooooooooo short. It seeps oil also.
