How good is the old style s afc 9801-0101?

I found an old Apexi SAFC model #9801-0101 for $80.00. It has adjustment dials for 5 RPM ranges. I was wondering if the newer style SAFC are worth the extra money or if this one would work just as well. Anyone have an opinion about or information that may help me. Thanks.

I have one, (listed in my pro) its pretty simple to use. It works fine. I like the simplicity of it, but once again, the AFC is not the best tuning aid alone, but combined with DSMLink or a Keydiver III setup, it'll help more.

If you have DSMLink, you really dont need an AFC, but then again you need an EPROM ECU and about $300 more than an AFC would set you back.
