Big T28 Killer good?

Ok, I want a bigger turbo than stock, but i want it to be an easy install. I don't want one that's going to be too small to run with the big boys though. I'm not worried about supporting mods, cuz they will all be done before i get a bigger turbo anyways. Basically, would a Big T28 Killer be a good choice, or not? I don't know crap about compressor maps, flow rate, blah blah blah, so could someone just point me in the right direction?

What i want:
-solid power
-enough nutz to run with fast cars
-easy install (not too important, but i would be nice)

What i don't want:
-spool up at an rpm too high for the street
-empty wallet

So does this turbo fit, or is there one better suited for me? Sorry for all the questions. Oh, and i don't care about the bling factor, i go for function over form.

I was looking at the BigT28 Killer too, but the AGPT28 seems just as good and it's 100% Garrett Parts not to mention cheaper. I think the BigT28 Killer is 3 piece hybird, but don't quote me on that.

All sound like good direct boltup turbos. Dont forget all your supporting mods + fuel work though.. a Turbo is only one part of the equation.

Is that the order you recommend?? If so, how come you rate the FP better than the AGP?

no its not the order i recommend.. i dont recommend any particular order.. I have an AGP turbo now and love it, I had an FP Big28 and loved that too.. I personally dont tihnk you can go wrong with any of these turbos

If I get this GSX that I've been trying to buy all week I'd like to know seeing as a 16G requires an intall kit for a 2G.

supposedly the two turbos are supposed to flow just about same amount of air. A big28 spools faster so it has better low end but the 16g is supposed to be faster up top.

Cars with the (Big T-28 Killer) AKA B.M.F.T-28 killer installed have been getting 6 psi @ 2200 RPM & full boost by 2700 to 2800 RPM.The turbo will pull al the way to redline .

I just ordered my t28 killer and should get it in about a week. So i'll let you know just what a pain in the ass is is to install. I'll let you know how much boost im getting from it to. Since you aren't going to get one till x-mas you can just wait and see how it go's for me.

just something to note to the FWD guys thinking about this.. spooling up that fast isnt really a good idea for us.. youll do nothing but spin and its damned hard to keep it from doing that.

I'd like to thank everyone for that info on the Big T-25.

Looks like that will be the turbo I'll be going with as well. It will be a while before I get it, because if I get this GSX tonight it is going to take me a year and some change to pay off before I mod it. If the turbo goes out though I'll be slapping in a big t25.

From what i heard Killer is just a name and is basically the same as a T28 they just say KILLER just to make you think its better if it is a little better im sure its a slow spooler and only 10 hp more

Big 28 killer has an AiReasearch T3 compressor housing, T2 bearing housing and a t-28 turbine housing. It's a Big16g compressor fan with a T-28 turbine fan. Max boost at 2800 rpms. I got mine last friday, and i'm installing it on sunday, and i can't damn wait! I bought it ported and it looks sweet! I finished polishing up my housing tonight and it's gonna make a lovely addition to my engine bay.
