I just upgraded from my factory T25 to a T-5 16 G turbo. I have a manual boost control that is set as low as it can go and I am still pumping out 14 psi of boost. What can I do to drop down a couple more psi? Please help!

If you turbo has an adjustable wastegate arm you can adjust it more. otherwise you should already have upgraded fuelpump so 14psi is not bad.

Later,

I'm in a bad mood today, so unfortunately I'm going to take it out on you. If you put a 16G on your car, and you are complaining about running 14 pounds of boost (because you definately need to prevent unsightly HORSEPOWER) then you need to take it off, and put your T25 back on, and go buy some clear tailights and a 4 level tall wing.

Regards,

had to post this pic. hehe, yo that was funny ****.

My reason for wanting to run lower boost is because I dont have new injectors or a bigger fuel pump yet. My engine over boosts around 15 psi right now, so when I'm running 14 lbs and the turbo spikes it overboosts. Yes, I should have had theses upgrades first but the stock turbo going bad was unexpected.

hey man, having a boost spike isnt gonna hurt anything unless its really huge. if its just a few psi then it wont hurt anything.

my FPBig28 has adjustable wastegate arm, the guy who had it was running 23psi but I want to run 15psi for now. to adjust it for lower boost, do you make the arm shorter or longer? I was thinking shorter, but just wanted to make sure.

pop off the actuator arm and screw it inwards. that will shorten it, and give you more boost. only turn it 1 or 2 turns at a time.

i dont have a clue about external. mine's internal. you should just call up rre and ask them. im sure they would know.
