i have an RNR 3 inch turbo back with o2 dump....plain and simple it sounds like ass....i was under the impression that your not supposed to hear the dump untill your getting on it. Right now its on my 14b that i think is messed up cuz its making a whining noise. i just ordered a evo16g, do you think that will solve the annoying sound...it sounds like an old muscle car even at idle

Exhaust leak... most likely from o2 to downpipe.
My o2 housing doesnt mate up flush with the downpipe flange, so there's a little gap that always leaks :|

i think the o2 is welded to the downpipe...i could be mistaken though

Your 02 housing should be bolted to your downpipe. Two 17mm bolts I believe. If you get under there, unbolt it and see how the gasket looks.

If its "whining", its probably a bad turbo. And on a 14b, the wastegate opens almost immediately anyways, so as soon as you get on it, you will hear the dump almost right away. And the downpipe bolts are a tad bigger than 17mm i think, mine were 19mm.

your turbo is bad, downpipe bolts are 19mm, and how dare you say the 02 dump sounds like ass. So I guess old muscle cars sound like shit? Think again my friend. There must be some other problem. My o2 dump sounds like a dump truck with 3000 horsepower flying by you. It should scare the shit out of people, in a good way............ :barf:

The RNR o2 dump turbo back is welded o2 dump and my friend got the same exaust and the same turbo and honestly it does sound like shit it sounds like a huge exaust leak and the dump seems to be open all the time there's no bolts to tighten on the o2 so there only could be a leak in the manifold which there isn't because of the new gasket I'm leaning towards thats just thew way the dump sounds even tho it doesn't sound like any other dump it just sounds like shit :notgood:

You lost me no bolts to bolt up to the turbo. It has four holes to bolt up to the turbo but its hard to get to the one where the dump is at and the one at the bottom is a B(*&&( to get to.I have the pte 60 with the open cut exhaust housing and cams and it don't sound too bad after i fix the exhaust leak at the o2 dump.

I have an 02 dump as well.. along with the scm61....my dump starts to 'DUMP" at idle.....i called sbr thinking i was missing something cause i couldn't understand y it was doing that....(thought my w/g was wrong but checked it and it wasn't) but anyways they told me that cause of the size of the turbo the dump would start to work at idle....THANK GOD.... i hate these damn cars to many problems and everything else.... ROFL
