Charlottetown,
Ok So I recently installed a dejon uicp and greddy type s bov. Ive been haveing a few problems. For starters im not sure if im getting compressor surge or if its just fluttering comming from the bov. I hear a bit of a flutter then the bov vents when im at low boosts/ rpm.

Also when I pull through a gear especially second and third It seems like I get a bit of stumble or hesitation once I go over 4 grand rpm. What could be the problem, anyone have any suggestions??

95 tsi awd - k&n filter, dejon intake and uicp, greddy type s, bcs removal are only mods.

Oh and is the type s supposed to sound like a chipmunk getting kicked in the junk when it lets off??

Yah Ive tried that. I still get the fluttering sound. I should have mentioned that i get this only when i let off at low rpms. Even before my boost gauge starts to show boost (its still in vacume). Ive had the screw backed out all the way almost and i still get a bit of fluttering followed by the chipmunk getting nailed sound.

Im just not sure if its the bov making the sound or if its compressor surge.

My car does the same thing when the BOV is too loose. Maybe you should tighten the adjustment screw to a harder setting if you haven't already.

:talon:

Ok I think I have my bov problem taken care of.

I did notice that my boos spiked to 15psi today when I got on it hard today in first gear. It then settles down to around 14-14. This seems strange for my mods no?? Why would my boost be so high with only the bcs removal as a real boost mod??

Also i still have a bit of stumbling at higher rpms, could this be a fuel issue cause im now making more boost??

Ok i just pulled my plugs. Theyre the set that came with the car so i guess they could use a change. I also heard that platinum plugs are no good for dsms?

Anyways heres the pics

It seems like theyre running a little to hot, what could be the problem?? Would going a step colder help out this problem??

Damn, you need to shrink down the size of the pic.

A pressure test is a must after any type of work done involving the intake trac. In fact I think if it is done with every oil change, number of problem threads would probably be cut down by a third.

Too hard to tell what's going on with those plugs from the pics. But you need to get rid of the platinum plugs and get plain old NGK's. Plugs are not easy to read on a good day unless you are really rich or really lean. And then the symptoms are easy to spot.

Get THOSE Platnium PLUGS OUT OF THERE!! I can't almost garantee the car will straighten up as soon as your put a set of ngks in it. MY car had platinum plugs in for about 2 weeks and i spent big bucks on msd wires thinking that was my problem with the awful studder in WOT, but after about $175 trying to fix other things I never thought about the platnium plugs.

I had a set of bosch crapinums, they fouled on me in no time at all. Im surprised you didnt have the same problems.
