Im confused. When I purchased my 99 gsx used at a car lot it already had a injen air intake. First mod I did was a boost guage. It would boost at 14 and hold. After bov, boost at 15. After my 3 dwn pipe inbetween shifts it would boost to 18 a creep down. Know with my blits dsbc I can get it to boost to 20 psi and somewhat hold. Is that poss. Could the owner before me put a t28 and is there a way to tell? What could I expect from a bigger turbo 20 psi is good.... right . I have a apex fmic installed. So I'm ready for an upgrade but has it been done.

If it holds 20psi all the way to redline then it is definitly not a t-25. My
t-25 wouldn't hold 16psi to redline. It starts to drop at like 5500 untill it hit like 11 or 12psi then it would hold to redline. FP big 28 has a stamp on the exhaust housing between the housing and mani. You have to take the turbo off to see it. As far as the t-25 not making power above 16psi well that's not true. Larryd dynoed his at 16, 20, and 22psi(or something like that) and each time it made more power. This was on the stock sidemount to. If your lucky he might post that dyno run again for you. Regardless it's not hot useless air. If you run 20psi all the time it will kill the turbo rather quickly so it's not recommended. One more thing I dought the previous owner put a t-28 in with no supporting mods except an intake.

uhh Its probably a t25, you would know the difference if it was a t28. Another thing, holding 20psi on a t25 to redline is possible. Hell mine would hold 22psi to redline.
