Hi,

I was wondering, if you can do the 1g cas mod without having it delivering the crank and cam signal. The reason why I ask is because I have a fairly new crank sensor. I was thinking to use the 1g cas for the cam signal and leave the yellow wire from the 1g cas unused. And use the 2g crank sensor for the crank signal. What do you think?

thanks,

Sven

Hi,

Sorry that I didn't mention it earlier, but I am doing a 1g head swap.
Thanks,

sven

well I did a 1g head swap on my 97 gsx a little over a year ago and I was able to just keep my stock CAS. Maybe the 95 / 96 cas won't work with that head for some reason? Either way I'd just get a 97+ sensor and call it a day then. I'll sell you mine with the housing and all if you want it. Has 2000 miles on it. Literally. I think all you'd need to do is drill and tap the intake cam which is VERY easy and then bolt it in and plug it in. No rewiring and no risk of random misfires or anything else.

Hi,

I still have to modify the wire harness or connections, because it's a different style harness. I already have a 1g cas. So, I don't want to spent more money. Thanks for the offer.
