Hey guys, where can i obtain a circut diagram of all the electric plugs and stuff goes underthe hood?... i have one plug behind the intake plenum and i have no clue where it goes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

1G? 2G? Turbo? N/A? 2.0? 1.8? Details please.

My N/A '91 2.0 has an unused plug in the location you are discribing. From my visits to the junkyard, I have notice this plug is used on the turbo models, but I don’t remember what it plugs into…….

Otherwise, look on ebay for a shop manual CD. Also, Autozone, etc. have shop manuals and most come with wiring diagrams. :laser: :thumb:
 
describe the plug and I'll tell you where it goes. What year is your car and what model? What color are the wires? How many wires? What does it look like?
 
it's a 92 Talon TSi AWD Turbo. The plug is located behind the intake plenum and infront of the solenoid area... can anyone post a page so i can look at it. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

how many wires are going to it and what shape is the plug? It could only be like 4 or 5 different things so it's easy to narrow down where it goes.
 
the plug that i'm talking about has two wires going into. Meaning it's oval looking and has to holes like i would go into a socket that has 2 pins. It also as a purple plastic ring.... any ideas what could it be?....
 
sounds like it could be the knock sensor witch should be hoked up but its most likely
the plug for EGR temp. witch you wont have unless its a car from Cal.
Let us know what the color of the wires are .My 2 cents
 
That is exactly what I have also. I replaced my P/S rack and dotn remember which plug goes into the sensor. But ya one is for the EGR temp and the other is the knock sensor. Problem with mine is that no matter which i plug in, it still throws a knock sensor code so I dont know what the deal with mine is.?¿

That's odd... My CA spec 94 AWD has these two same plugs, but the plugs themselves are physically different and don't allow the EGT temp probe to plug into the knock sensor and vise-versa. -Those were the only two plugs that I didn't label when I R&R'd my head. Because of that, I found out that the plug housings themselves are matched to the correct sensor and will not physically plug-in to the wrong one. -May be this is different on the earlier 1g cars?

If the problem was with the EGT, I'd say just do the ECU 1k resistor R129 mod to put the car in Federal spec "mode", thus ignoring the EGT input.
